La nueva PA550 se hace acreedora a dos premios por su excelencia

Taipei, Taiwan - 14 de mayo de 2010 - La nueva termina móvil de Unitech PA550 obtuvo un reconocimiento de excelencia por parte del Consejo de Comercio Exterior de Taiwan y el Foro Internacional de Diseño por su combinación única de funcionalidad duradera y elegante diseño.

Elegida como ganador entre más de 700 competidores, la PA550 fue la orgullosa merecedora de la decima octava entrega del Premio a la Excelencia de Taiwán. Así mismo recibió el reconocimiento Alemán iF Product Design Award, venciendo a un total de 2.486 participantes internacionales.

Contando con tecnología Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5, la PA550 está diseñada para funcionar como una computadora industrial. Soporta caídas de hasta 1.2 metros manteniendo la apariencia de una PDA.

La PA550 recolecta y transmite información de forma rápida y eficiente a través de una avanzada conectividad inalámbrica ya sea Bluetooth, 802.11b/g, GSM, GPRS y HSDPA 3.5G.

Cinco computadoras móviles de Unitech reciben certificación CCX

Taipei, Taiwan - Unitech Electronics Co., Ltd. anunció hoy que cinco de sus computadoras móviles recibieron certificación CCX (Cisco Compatible Extensions). Los cinco dispositivos utilizan radios Wi-Fi de Summit Data Communications.
Howard Weng, Gerente de Producto, indicó que contar con capacidad líder en Wi-Fi es importante en el mercado competitivo de captura de datos e identificación automática. "Nuestra alianza estratégica con Summit, permite a nuestros dispositivos aprovechar sus últimas soluciones e innovaciones tecnológicas, incluyendo soporte CCX", dijo Weng.

Unitech America introduces uTransfer

Unitech America has introduced uTransfer, a simple data transfer application for Unitech’s DOS-based mobile computers. uTransfer allows users to transfer data collected on a portable terminal to a Windows desktop with just one click.

uTransfer can be used with Unitech’s HT580 and HT630 mobile computers. After installing the application, users simply connect the device to their computer and click one button to upload all data captured to the PC.

Unitech America has been selected as the BEST Channel Vendor by Business Solution magazine's VAR!

Two Unitech devices have been selected as "Best Channel Products" in Business Solutions Magazine's annual survey. The magazine's VAR subscribers have ranked the PA600 mobile computer and MR650 fixed mount terminal among the industry's top products.

Nearly 20,000 votes were cast for the 2009 Best Channel Products survey, making it one of the largest surveys of its kind. Business Solutions Magazine partnered with Penn State University to ensure the statistical accuracy of the survey and determine the winners. �To be a BSM Best Channel Product winner is an honor and a source of validation from our customers that says we are producing high quality products that fit market needs and support solutions at the end user level, said Bill Lewis, Director of Sales and Marketing for Unitech America.

Products were named winners in different technology categories. The Unitech MR650 fixed mount terminal was voted a Best Channel Product for Workforce Management / Time and Attendance.
