The Unitech PA600 MCA is a compact and rugged mobile computer with an integrated 13.56MHz High Frequency RFID reader and Bar Code. The PA600 MCA innovatively supports ISO15693, ISO14443A and ISO14443B standards in a single device, making it ideal for a range of RFID applications. Traditionally RFID devices would only support one ISO standard, requiring a different device for each application, but now, this one device does it all, supporting multiple applications in the same organisation. Nowadays, it is a must-go trend of applying RFID technology to work with traditional barcode system in the medical environment; that is, the way is even more safe to reduce vital mistakes happened during treatment. The Unitech PA600 MCA is especially designed for healthcare application as its anti-microbial protection material and capability both RFID/2D readers. For example, patients in the hospital would have an identification bracelet carried both RFID tag and 2D barcode to ensure all medical procedures; such as blood-drawing, medicine delivery are treated to the correct person. Supporting Oracle Database Lite and Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, the PA600 MCA allows end users to synchronise RFID data with existing business systems and databases. Support for Wavelink Avalanche enables easier management of wireless devices, decreasing cost and time of deployment. The PA600 MCA is small enough to fit into your shirt pocket, weighting just 310g. But don’t let its size fool you - with a 520MHz processor and an IP64 rating the PA600 MCA is a powerful industrial device but also medical. The PA600 MCA’s rounded shape is designed to fit perfectly into the hand of the user. A full QVGA screen touchscreen enables the operator to view more information about the RFID tags that have been read and an ergonomic alphanumeric keypad makes data entry simple. The rugged design of the PA600 MCA won’t let you down. Thanks to its IP64 rating, the PA600 MCA is resistant to dust and moisture. Its robust build is able to withstand multiple 4ft drops to concrete without risk of damage. This minimises device downtime, reduces repair costs and delivers a much lower Total Cost of Ownership.
