Li-ion batteries have revolutionized the way we power our devices. These rechargeable powerhouses have an average life of 500 charge cycles. However, with proper care, you can maximize their potential.

What is Charge Cycles?

A charge cycle refers to the process of charging a battery from 0% to 100%, but it's not just about counting from zero to full. For instance, if you charge your battery from 50% to 100% today and then do the same tomorrow, it counts as one full charge cycle.

Why Should We Care about Charge Cycles?

This affects your battery's lifespan, performance, and cost. Keeping an eye on charge cycles is crucial for the safety of your devices. Proper management can prevent potential battery malfunctions and hazards, and ensure your devices operate seamlessly. To preserve your battery, avoid deep discharges, use the right charger, manage heat, do partial charges, and store it properly when not in use.

How to Extend your Battery's Charge Cycle Life?

1. Mind the Range

Charging your battery between 20% and 80% is the sweet spot. This range helps reduce stress and prolongs battery life.

2. Avoid the Extremes

Never let your battery discharge fully (<0%) or charge all the time (always 100%). It puts undue stress on the battery, reducing its lifespan.

3. Stay Cool

High temperatures are detrimental to a battery. It is essential that batteries are charged within the stated range of 0°C to 35°C.

4. Think Long-Term

If you're storing your battery for an extended period, ensure it's charged at least 50% every 6 months. This simple step can significantly boost its longevity.

Unitech Products Can Do More!

1. Trust Originals

When purchasing products, use Unitech original batteries and adapters to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Check Battery's Health Situation

With Unitech's "BatteryInfo" App, you can monitor your battery's health and usage, helping you decide when it's time for a replacement.

Please be reminded that if your battery's performance drops by over 20% (State of Health less than 80% in the BatteryInfo App), it signals the end of its life cycle. Ensure you dispose of it responsibly.
